Boo-Review for week of 9/20-9/26: Iron Fist "Zombie Stomper" Heels

When there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth.

I have to start by saying that Iron Fist makes some of my favorite clothes ever. I only own a few pieces from their collections, but if I had unlimited funds at my disposal, you'd better believe I'd have everything. The Zombie Stompers are the second pair of Iron Fist Shoes that I've bought - I'm not normally a big high-heel person (being 5'8" with pretty long legs, I need extra height like I need a hole in the head) but I have to say, I love the quality and comfort level of Iron Fist pumps. I sustained a foot injury when I was in the Air Force, and it's difficult for me to wear anything other than my flip-flops or Vans for a period longer than half an hour without experiencing some brutal foot pain, let alone peep-toe pumps. But these are supercomfortable - I think they have a suede, or suede-like lining. And they are awesomely tall - bigger than your average heel, but not tall enough to make you look like a stripper. With a heel at 5" with a 1" platform, I'd probably tower over everyone except Tyler Mane (okay, that may be an exaggeration, but I'm still pretty damn tall.) I had no problem walking in them on tile or carpet, and was even able to recover after tripping over a cat (and remain standing. Bonus!)

I don't know how I got this far without saying this, but... have you seen these?! They've got freakin' zombies on them! Malevolent green zombies! Well, the color is at least - not sure about the zombies. That's what I call that shade of green, "malevolent green." I can't say for sure whether the zombies are malevolent. But they are smiling (though it may be more of a rictus grin.)

So you want to sink your teeth into a pair? Better move fast - stores like Too Fast and Retro Rebels have already sold out twice. And you could order them from a UK site, like attitudeclothing.co.uk and others (none of which have the shoes in stock)- but because of the exchange rate, be prepared to pay up to $110... BEFORE shipping. But don't fret - you can now get these at Hot Topic and Journey's for $32.99 and $39.99 (respectively.)

All in all, a great pair of shoes. Only negative thing I have to say is they should have made them more widely available.

LondonsDungeon is on Twitter!

Admittedly, I have no idea how to use Twitter yet, but I thought it'd be good to get one. When I learn how to use it, I'll be sure to post an update letting you guys know.

The Debut of the Boo-Review

I'm going to start doing something weekly that I'd like to call the "Boo-Review." It'll be something (or someone) spooky that I want to share with you all. It can be anything - CDs, movies, bands, food, art, collectibles, clothes, whatever- just as long as it has creepy attributes and if it's something I think that you'll enjoy.

With that being said, I'm off to write a draft for my first Boo-Review.

What has happened in the last year...

Wow! It's been a year -yes, a year- since I've had an internet connection. Living in the country truly does suck. I'm definitely more of a suburb girl. But now I'm happily settled into a New Yorkesque suburb outside Raleigh and able to get back to connecting with people about things I love- metal, zombies, and just sort of generally weird stuff. So this is what has, in no particular order, transpired in the last year or so:

-I have destroyed the engine of my car.
-I have seen Cradle of Filth, Satyricon, and Septic Flesh. And they were awesome. More on why Satyricon is my favorite black metal band later.
-I did NOT get married.
-I dressed up like a zombie for charity. Seriously.
-I have started making band jackets for fun. Well, not actually making the jackets, 'cause I have minimal sewing skills, but seriously pimping them out, with patches, buttons, chains, spikes, and awesomness.
-Spent a hell of a lot of time watching Michale Graves play.

More has happened, I'm sure, but that's all I can remember right now.

It's good to be back, and I promise this blog won't always suck. I'll get better at this. Really.

Changes are coming to the Dungeon!

I hope that by the one year anniversary of the Dungeon's launch, I will have relaunched the new Dungeon - a web-based home (still at blogspot!) for the horror-punk community, both N.C.-based and worldwide. I decided the Dungeon and I needed a purpose in life - and I want to share my spooky, creepy, undead band and merchandise interests with you... so here's to chains - I mean, change!

"Fruit Gone Bad"... Next on Geraldo!

I randomly stumbled across my favorite Cyanide & Happiness comic today, and I thought I'd share.

Spooky-fun Accessories and Decor!

I love Halloween. I love bats, ghosts, zombies, spiders, and generally all things spooky. I've put together a little spook-showcase {ha ha, I make myself laugh :)} featuring some of my favorite creepy things afoot this holiday season.

From Halloween Town:

Only the most bad-ass belt buckle ever. Okay, maybe not ever, but certainly the best I've seen in a while (other than my Rob Zombie one.)

Find it here.

Werewolf Women of the SS T shirt - I simply cannot wait for this movie to come out.

Get one here.

A collector's edition Dr. Satan bust (from House of 1000 Corpses) signed and numbered by Director Rob Zombie and FX supervisor Wayne Toth.

Buy one for me here.

From Spirit:

My top costume pick:

There's a Ms. Krueger costume, too. Find them here.

Animatronic Jason! Can you tell you tell yet that I ♥ Jason?

Get your own Machete Man here.

That's all I have for now, I'll update this post later.
